Aesthetix Sensor Setup

Standard setup

The Aesthetix standard adaptor is suited for measuring flat surfaces. The adaptor is magnetically attached and can be easily removed for non-contact measurement or replaced with curved surfaces adaptor or bespoke adaptors.

Small Areas and Curved Surfaces

The Aesthetix is supplied with a small area and curved surface adaptor. This adaptor changes the measurement spot from 9x12mm to 2x3mm, making the measurement of small areas and curved surfaces possible. To fit the adaptor, pull to remove the standard measurement adaptor (magnetically attached to the bottom of the instrument). Attach the small area and curved surface adaptor. Note: The instrument must be recalibrated after changing adaptors.

Non-Contact Measurement

The Rhopoint Aesthetix can be used with a stand or laboratory cobot to measure non-contact for liquids, wet paint, or fragile surfaces. An optional non-contact small area and curved adaptor is available from Rhopoint. When measuring non-contact, it is important to respect the focal distance from the bottom of the instrument to the target surface. The focal distance must be maintained at 10 mm +/- 0.5 mm).

Bespoke Jigs

The Rhopoint Aesthetix can be used with 3D-printed jigs for repeatable measurement of small parts or curved surfaces. To fit the bespoke jig, pull to remove the standard measurement adaptor (magnetically attached to the bottom of the instrument). Attach the custom jig.
